Game Day!

Week 10 - the final regular season tourney - is upon us! Last chance to grab points and get in (or stay in) the Top 8. The format for tonight is Limit Stud H/L.

Next week will be the Championship Tournament for the Top 8 players in league points. More details on this later in the week and also here).

With the end of this season upon us, it's time to look forward to Season 3 - NLHE. It will start in 2 weeks (the week after the Championship Tournament). League fee remains $15 (all of which goes into the prize pool), and can be send via PokerStars transfer to player potnets (Severna Park).

Week 9 Results - Online Poker Is STILL Rigged

Week 9 was Pot Limit Hold'em, and it was one of those tourneys where having the best hand preflop could send you to the rail. Rusdog13 took third place, Arcturus snared second, and the lucksack host potnets landed first and got the bounty as well.

Next week is the last regular season tournament. The format is Stud H/L, and the $5 bounty is on potnets. There are a bunch of people on the Top 8 bubble - don't miss this one! Details on the Championship tournament will be posted following Week 10.

Season 3 will be all NLHE, and will begin on April 14. Details to come, but feel free to start sending the $15 league fee to lock up a spot.

Week 8 Results

St. Patrick's Day appeared to put a dent in the turnout, but we still had 14 possibly inebriated players for the HOSE tournament. Arcturus came in third, leaving goateedude and EJ89 to battle it out for the win and the bounty - EJ89 with the chance to become the first to claim a self bounty. It wasn't to be, however, as goateedude put him away for the win, the bounty and a big jump in the league standings.

Week 7 Results

We had another great turnout for league night, with 19 players taking on Pot Limit Omaha. Noelle took out last week's winner, HiRoller88, for the bounty. C2d2 keep insisting she had to leave to do homework and pack, but instead stuck around to take third. BmoreBilly took a big chip lead into heads-up play, but had to settle for second as EJ89 battled back for the win.

HiRoller88 and themerk08 battled it out in the final heads-up match of the night, with HiRoller88 emerging victorious and getting a nice bump in the points standings. Rusdog13 took down third, and raquel1988 scored the bounty by eliminating Arcturus.

Heads-Up! It's time for Week 6 of Season 2, and this week's format is... NLHE Heads-Up. If you haven't played one of these before, everyone pairs off for a one-on-one match. When all of those matches complete, the winners are paired up and the next round begins. Note that the first round will likely have an off-number of people for the brackets, so some (random) folks may get a bye for the first round. Also, if you finish a match early you may have a bit of a wait for all of the other matches to finish.

Scoring

As people lose matches, PS will give you a finishing place based on when you go out. That is rather arbitrary though, since it doesn't matter who goes out first in a round; only the winners move on. So for the league points, they will go as follows:

1 player gets 1st place points
1 player gets 2nd place points
2 players get 4th place points
4 players get 8th place points
and so on...
