Hey, Where The HELL Are My League Results??

Sorry for the delay folks, I've been on vacation where it's been less Internet and more beaches, booze and general debauchery. Now that I'm back I'll be scaling back a bit on the beaches...

Oddly enough, despite thinking I'd miss league night, I managed to show up, and not only snared the bounty but actually held on for third. Without missing a drink. Woo Hoo!! Ravensfutbal took down second, while jumping to the top of the league standings. But the big winner of the week was Arcturus, who took a big lead later in the tourney and never gave it up.

Next week's tourney should be a lot of fun - it's NL heads-up! Stay tuned on details for how the points will work in that format.

Week 4 Results

The game format was Limit Omaha H/L, and 17 players showed up to do battle. HiRoller88 scored the bounty by taking out Biggfella, and also earned third place in the tournament. Second went to ravensfutbal, which also solidified his hold on second in the league standings. First place honors went to RLD93, who will be the bounty for next week's game (format will be Stud).

Week 3 Results

It's only Week 3 of Season 2, and we already have a 2-game winner. Biggfella repeated his Week 1 performance by taking down the bounty along with the tournament, building a big point lead in the league standings in the process. Goateedude put up a good fight in heads-up action but had to settle for second, and some guy that goes by potnets took third.

Week 2 Results

We had a great turnout for the Week 2 Razz tournament, including a few newcomers. One of them, Noelle, ran through the league veterans and took down third. HiRoller88 turned in another strong showing with second place, and ravensfutbal jumped to the top of the standings with a first place finish. If I'm not mistaken, heads-up action took all of one or two hands to decide a winner.

C2D2 took out Biggfella to pick up the $5 bounty. Next week's bounty will be on ravensfutbal, and the format will be Limit Hold'em (just like No Limit except it takes longer to throw your chips away).

Tonight is Week 2 of Season 2, with Razz being the Mixed Games format.

The Championship format poll is running about 3-1 in favor of HORSE (Top 8) over PLHE (Top 9). So we will stick with the original plan of HORSE for the final, with the Top 8 regular season scores eligible to play. Thanks for the feedback!

The prize pool for Season 2 - Mixed Games has just cruised past the $300 mark, and there is still room to grow. The running total for the prize pool is always kept in the "Next Tourney" box over on the right on the blog.
